NEED A TREE BEFORE THANKSGIVING?

  • Because Thanksgiving is so late this year, we are opening our satellite field at 230 S. Steinbach the weekend before Thanksgiving (Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24), from 10 am to 5 pm.
  • This field has Fraser Fir from 6 to 15 feet, White Spruce from 6 to 10 feet and Blue Spruce from 5 to 7 feet.
  • This field will have 2 employees who can help bale trees and load them on your car, but it will not be a full service operation (no refreshment stand, no restrooms, and not all of our tree varieties will be available).
  • We do have some nice trees in this field of all sizes - so if you really want to get your tree before Thanksgiving and you are flexible on variety this field might be a good option for you.

NEED A TREE ON A WEEKDAY THAT WE'RE NOT OPEN?

  • We have been finding creative ways in recent years to help families get a fresh Christmas tree if they cannot come during our Main Farm / Full Service hours.
  • We started this tradition a few years ago by leaving the gate open after we close for the season with detailed instructions on how to cut and pay for a tree.
  • People were so appreciative of the opportunity that we are going to allow self-serve cutting in our satellite field at 230 S. Steinbach this year from Monday through Thursday during our regular selling season.
  • If you don’t need services and you are happy with the tree varieties in our satellite field (see the previous section for a description of those trees), you are welcome to come and get a tree yourself between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm on days that the main farm is not open.

NEED A TREE AFTER WE CLOSE FOR THE SEASON?

  • We will open the gate to the main farm for self-serve tree cutting and any remaining pre-cut trees from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm starting on Sunday, December 22, and continuing every day thereafter through 5:00 pm on Christmas Eve.
  • We provide written instructions on where and how to cut a tree, and how to pay for the tree once you do so.
  • No services will be available (no tree shaking and baling, no refreshment stand or help loading trees into or onto your car).

WHY DO WE NEED TO ARRIVE AN HOUR EARLY?

  • Choosing and cutting a tree generally takes at least an hour, so please arrive at least an hour prior to closing, so that our help can leave at closing time and have some time with their families.
  • We suggest that you arrive even sooner than that to ensure that you have time to visit our most remote fields, to take a tractor ride, and still have a hot cocoa when you finish up (2 hours is a good rule of thumb).
  • Thank you for your understanding and we appreciate your business!

LANDSCAPE HOURS?

  • We do not have regular business hours outside of the holiday tree season. If you are interested in trees for landscaping please contact us to schedule an appointment.
